View Funeral Webcast Betty Faye Doherty, daughter of the late Verbon Arnold and Rachael Rhodes Arnold, was born on Saturday, August 15, 1936 and departed this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Phil & Flo Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 16 days. Betty Faye Doherty was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. On April 11, 1956 in Leachville, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Ira V. Doherty, II. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2005. Survivors include sons, Ira Doherty, III of Blytheville, AR, Steve Doherty & his wife, Carla of Blytheville, AR, Keith Doherty of Kennett; daughters, Carolyn Kay Doherty of Kennett, Rita Nelson & her husband, Dennis of Kennett; grandson, Brandon Ellison & his wife, Jenny of Carrollton, GA; great-grandson, Kaleb Ellison; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Gary Dale Rhodes. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Danny Pankey officiating. Visitation will begin there at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Serving as Pallbearers will be Ira Doherty, III, Steve Doherty, Dennis Nelson, Brandon Ellison, Kaleb Ellison and Wayne Isabell.
