William Leon Treat

William Leon Treat, son of Emma Baltimore and the late Deon Treat, was born on Tuesday, November 13, 1951, in Gideon Missouri and departed this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in Paragould Arkansas, at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 5 days. On Tuesday April 20, 1971, he was united in marriage to Beverly Passley Treat. A union of 52 years. William was a skilled diesel mechanic for many years and retired from John Deere in 2013. Mr. Treat also served his country in the United States Marines. Survivors include his wife Beverly of the home; children, Jean (Mike) Strenfeld, Joseph Treat, Rita (Stephen) Coleman; grandchildren, Michael Sherfield, Jacob Tinsly, Elizaeth Treat, Madison Arenaz, Drake Coleman, Linzie Coleman, Kanon Coleman; Six great-grandchildren; mother, Emma Baltimore; siblings, Donald Treat, Perry Treat, Nancy Treat, Rosie Bell Jones, Jackie Mae, Jason Baltimore, Bonnie Foster; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Deon Treat; son, William Treat Jr; and grandson Michael Treat. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Derek Evans officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until time of service. Powell Funeral & Cremation Servies, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
