View Funeral Webcast Tony Garcia, son of the late Jesus Garcia and Elida Garza Garcia, was born on Thursday, August 17, 1940, in Alice, TX and departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his residence in Arnold, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 2 days. Tony Garcia was a service technician with Sears. Tony enjoyed anything to do with his grandson, Adam. He loved sports and watching baseball especially, the LA Dodgers, his favorite team. In his free time, he watched movies: old westerns, fast-paced action movies, or silly comedies. His smile and laugh were infectious. He never met a person he wouldn't help and making them happy gave him joy. He took pride in working, mowing and taking care of the yard. His family was the most important part of his life. He not only loved his wife and daughter with all of his heart, but his extended family meant the world to him. He was the best brother-in-law and uncle anyone could have asked for. He would have done anything to help his family out. He was the most amazing man, and we will forever feel his absence. On August 4, 1961, in Kennett, he was united in marriage to Alma Lea Folkes. She survives of the home in Arnold. In addition to his wife, Alma Lea Folkes Garcia, he is survived by his daughter, Stacey Walker & her husband, Kent of Arnold; grandson, Adam Walker of Arnold; sister, Sophie Lucas of Houston, TX, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jesse, Alex, and Dario Garcia and sisters, Eloise Lucas, Frances Rogers, Elma Jordan and Mary White. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Doug Clinton officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 22, 2023, 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Powell Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Servicing as pallbearers will be Warren Matheney, Brian Matheney, Donnie Folkes, Roger Eledge, Paul Lewis and Dennis Walker. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
