Tony Cannon

Tony Cannon, son of the late Glenn Edward Cannon and Hettie Withers Cannon, was born on Monday, November 13, 1944, in Kennett and departed this life on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 79 years 22 days. Tony was a longtime employee of Riggs Supply Company in Kennett having retired after 40+ years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. On November 20, 1965, in Paragould, AR he was united in marriage to Mildred Manly. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Cannon; daughter, Toni Leigh Curtis & her husband, Paul of Blytheville; granddaughter, Cannon Leigh Curtis; sister, Peggy Ross & her husband, Ron of Flower Mound, TX; sister-in-law, Peggy Cannon of Kennett, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn Edwin Cannon. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett and continue until service time. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
