Terry Ray

Terry Ray, son of Vurnylee Staggs Ray and the late James Wesley Ray, was born on Saturday, July 23, 1960, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Aspire Senior Living Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 66 years 1 month 9 days.

Terry was an over-the-road truck driver for many years.  He was a musician at heart having played for area church services.  He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Survivors include his mother, Vurnylee Staggs Ray of Kennett, Missouri; son, Christopher Ray & wife, Amanda of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; daughter, Tabitha Allen & husband, David of Decatur, Illinois; grandchildren, Ember Rose Ray, Makinley Allen, Kadence Cato & her husband, Jonathan; brothers, Randy Ray & wife, Rose of Kennett, Missouri, Mark Ray & wife, Maricel of California, other relatives and many friends,

He was preceded in death by his father, James Wesley Ray.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Cross Way Church in Kennett.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
