Terry Ray Bradley, son of the late James L. Bradley and Ann Cromwell Bradley, was born on Wednesday, October 18, 1950, in Memphis, TN and departed this life on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 69 years and 29 days. Terry Ray Bradley was a singer/songwriter, who began his career in music when he was only 8 years old. He formed his own band and played night clubs and military bases in a four state area. At the ripe old age of 10 years old, Terry won 1st place at the prestigious Mid-South Fair Talent Competition in Memphis, Tennessee, winning out over 3,000 contestants. In addition to leading his own band for almost three decades, Terry Ray has shared the stage with some of America's top performers: Jerry Lee Lewis, Ace Cannon (for whom he played drums for about 6 months), Ray Smith, Narvel Felts, and countless other nationally known recording artists. Terry has enjoyed several hit recordings: Highway Robbery, Can't Go Dancin', The Kind Of Man I Am, I'd Be Willing To Try, I've Got A Lot To Get Over, The Rain Never Falls In Denver, It Just Keeps Gettin' Better, Don't Start Something You Can't Finish, The Worst Case Of Love (I've ever seen), and many others. In addition to his rigorous performing schedule, Terry Ray has been featured on numerous popular television shows; Talent Party, The Rhodes Show, and the Eddie Bond Show, all originating in Memphis, Tennessee, and the Narvel Felts Show in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Survivors include daughters, Kim Chism & her husband, Tally of Cape Girardeau, Terri Jo Little & her husband, Brian of Holcomb, Traci Allen of Kennett, Ashley Gower & her husband, Zach of Campbell, Raelei Bradley of Kennett; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Bradley; his son, Kevin Bradley; brothers, Bud & Phil Bradley; sisters, Julia Bradley & Penny Huskey and his best friend, Gerald Lance. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin there at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. The Bradley family politely requests that everyone wear a mask for the funeral services and practice social distancing. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett in charge of arrangements.
