Shundrikea Lasay Artis, daughter of Michael Lavan Lewis, Sr. and Odessa Artis, was born on Thursday, July 31, 1986, in Kennett and departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2024, at her residence in Memphis at the age of 37 years 11 months 1 day. Survivors include four children, Ayanna Anderson of McKinney, TX, Titayanna Artis of Forrest City, AR, Barbanna Artis & Paul Artis of Memphis; mother & step-father, Odessa Hudson & Fredrick Hudson of Jonesboro; father, Michael Lavan Lewis, Sr. of Kennett; brother, Jeremy Finley of Kennett; sister, Letonya Hill & her husband, Terry of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Nayloni Maggett & Naborka Maggett, six aunties, 10 uncles, and a very good friend and grandmother to her two young children, Barbara Jackson of Memphis, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Gregory Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
