Shirley McNew was born on May 20, 1937, in Kennett, Missouri to Pearl and Willie Williams, and departed this life on Friday, May 27, 2022, in Richmond, Texas after fighting dementia, at the age of 85 years and 7 days. She married Berl McNew on March 12, 1964. They raised 2 daughters and 1 son. She was a loving and caring wife who helped Berl run their plumbing business until he retired. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Berl; daughters, Jeanie Hanson and husband Jackie, and Carolyn Fisher; grandchildren, Tina Elster and husband Michael, Steve Sprouse Jr., and Mike Fisher and wife Tori; six great grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Shirley was proceeded in death by her son Burl Lee, mom Pearl, dad Willie, brothers, and sisters. Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 2nd, 10:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett Missouri.
