Shelly Elaine Spencer, youngest daughter of the late Newuil Daniel Winters and Alberta Marie Winters (Arthurs)was born on Monday, August 26th, 1963, in Ohio and departed this life on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, at her residence in Qulin. MO at the age of 61 years. 9 months, and 16 days. On July 12th, 1988, she was united in Marriage to the love of her life, Samuel Spencer. Shelly spent most of her years as a homemaker, during which she wore and mastered many hats including chef, cleaner, confidant, counselor, disciplinary, friend, teacher, nurse, problem solver, personal shopper, finance manager, vacation travel advisor, party planner, sister, auntie, mother, memaw, and wife. She loved her husband and family immensely and she was fiercely protective of her own, be it family or friends. She worried about everyone and would overthink the worry/issue until she thought up a solution. With her quick-witted intellect as well as her disdain for bullies and liars, those that were lucky enough to have her in their corner recognized the blessing it was to have a true Mama Bear by their side. Her family was her everything and she spent a lot of her time each day laughing at filters and silliness over video chat while catching up with her nieces, nephews, and grandbabies. Shelly was a foodie that enjoyed watching the Food Network Channel and trying new recipes while cooking for her family. One thing she never did master was how to cook for less than an army! She watched her T.V. shows religiously each week, recording her favorites. Also, Shelly used to get super excited and pumped after viewing previews for new movies coming soon. Her excitement would cause you to be excited. Her essence was that radiant. Planning vacations and traveling were some of her absolute favorite things to do. Shelly cherished making memories. She planned a family vacation every year. Some more extravagant than others, but all worthy of making memories. Her favorite hobby hands down was shopping. She might not have like the crowds or people, but she loved shopping! She shopped mostly for others, because she enjoyed giving gifts. Her ability to always pick the perfect present for everyone she gifted really showed how much care and thought she put into giving something wonderful. She had a real knack for bargain shopping and could always find the best deals. Probably had something to do with spending her whole life having "Champagne tastes, on a beer budget!"
