Charles Sampson Williams, Jr., son of the late Charles Sampson Williams, Sr. and Marion Brooks Williams, was born on Thursday, September 19, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at St. Francis Park Assisted Living in Kennett at the age of 79 years 3 months 22 days.

Sam Williams was a 1964 graduate of Malden High School, where he played football and basketball.  Following high school, Sam continued his education at Washington University in St. Louis.

Sam honorably enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving as an Infantry Officer during the Vietnam War.  His commitment to his country left a lasting impact on both his life and the lives of those around him.

After returning from military service, Sam pursued a career in law.  He initially practiced with the firm of Cable, Seabaugh, and Williams, before moving to Welman, Beaton, Williams, and McVey.  Ultimately, he opened his own law practice.

On April 1, 2016, in Dry Creek, Mississippi he was united in marriage to Tammy Sue Bibb.  She preceded him in death on November 4, 2022.

His survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Miller & husband, Mark of Ripley, Mississippi, Lesley Lynn of Kennett, Missouri; granddaughter, Charley Davis & husband, Parker; stepdaughters, Katrina Rhodes, Alisha Gribble; step-grandchildren, Scarlett Hunter, Vivianne Vivi Wallace, Chloe Gribble, Jonathan Gribble, Cyric Dumas, Kael Dumas, Lucinda Lucy Dumas, other relatives and many friends.

No services are planned.
