Royal Lee Elliott, son of the late Ted Elliott and Reta Elliott DePriest, was born on Sunday, September 23, 1962 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 58 years, 3 months, 8 days. On August 29, 1987, in Holcomb, MO, he was united in marriage to Melissa Barnes. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Elliott of the home in Holcomb; daughter, Meagan Richardson & her husband, Daniel of Kennett; grandchildren, Julianna & Isabella Elliott, both of Poplar Bluff; step-father, Thomas DePriest of Kennett; step-brother, Thomas Charles DePriest of Kennett; step-sister, Margaret Blecha of Kennett; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Elliott; his mother, Reta Elliott DePriest, and his son, Jacob Royal Elliott Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
