Roxie Patrice Bowman

Roxie Patrice Bowman was born on January 1st, 1942, in Bremerton Washington to parents Alvin and Harriett Ogle. She proudly served her country for a combined 24 years while enlisted in the United States Army where she was based in San Diego during the Vietnam war, as well as deployments to both Saudi Arabia and Darmstadt Germany as a Staff Sergeant with the 1137th Military Police Company. One of her proudest accomplishments was serving as Communications Officer #930 within the Kennett Police Department where she was known as the “voice on the airwaves” from 1982 to 2006. Roxie is survived by her daughter Leslie Hayes (Michael), grandson Matthew Bowman (Jennifer), granddaughter Brittany Bowman; great grandchildren, Matthew Jr, Makenzy, and Mika Bowman, Brandon Mullen, Benjamin Turner, and Aiden Turner as well as numerous friends that were always considered family. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karla (Denise) Bowman. She left this life to join our Father in heaven on May 6th, 2024, while in West Palm Beach Florida at the age of 82 peacefully of natural causes. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. and continue until time of service. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
