Rosalind Grogan

April 21, 1931 — February 20, 2021

Rosalind Pok Soon Lee Grogan, 89, of Poplar Bluff, MO formerly of Kennett, MO, passed at her home on Saturday, February 20, 2021. She was born to Chung Kun Lee and Mon Tsuchida on April 21, 1931 in Hilo, Hawaii, the youngest of 5 children. While working as a waitress in Honolulu she met a handsome, young sailor named Jimmy Grogan who swept her off her feet. They married on March 27, 1954 and soon after moved to Kennett, Missouri. Rosalind worked at Emerson Electric in Kennett. She started when the plant was opened in 1959 and worked there over 30 years until her retirement. She truly possessed the "aloha spirit", welcoming friends, family, and even strangers into her home where she cooked and served many delicious meals. She is best remembered for her vibrant personality highlighted by her laughter, her spunk, and her wit. She never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. She loved to sing to anyone that would listen; she had songs for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and even her grand dogs. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and treasured all of her children and embraced every moment with them. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, who loved her dearly. She is survived by her children Leigh Anne Brown of Poplar Bluff, MO and Chuck (Nancy) Grogan of Flowood, MS; grandchildren Devin Grogan of Arlington, TN, Lauren (Jordan) Worley of Poplar Bluff, MO, Dr. Charles (Jaynie) Grogan of Jackson, MS, Sydney (Hayden) Kelly of Brandon, MS and Abigail (Andrew) Lyons of Canton, MS; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Hailey Trigg and Kennedy Worley and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Tai Soon Lee, sisters, Kwi Soon Lee, Kum Soon Lee Dumancas and Myung Soon Lee Chaffin, beloved niece Patsy Bodine and beloved nephew Mickey Dumancas. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
