Ronald Fitzgerald Spiva

View Funeral Webcast Ronald Fitzgerald Spiva, son of Geneva Nancy Spiva and the late Willie C. Spiva, was born on Tuesday, December 22, 1970, in Lambert, Mississippi and departed this life on Friday, February 23, 2024, at his residence at the age of 53 years 2 months 1 day. Ronald enjoyed detailing cars, doing yard work, listening to rap music (super loud), cooking (his fried potatoes were the best), but most of all spending time with family. He will be remembered for his huge heart, his loud laugh that everybody recognized, and his unannounced weekend visits. Ronald is survived by his mother, Geneva Nancy Spiva of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Michael Fitzgerald & Godfrey Lee Spiva, both of Rockford, IL; four sisters, Phyllis Yvette (Tony) Spiva-Jackson of St. Louis, MO, Stephanie Renee Spiva of Kennett, Nisey & Tonette Moore, both of Cape Girardeau; four nephews, Christopher Perkins, Jr., Christian Perkins, both of Kennett, Zacheriah & Jonathan Harris, both of Cape Girardeau; four nieces, Shelbi & Ryleigh Spiva, Camryn Henderson, all of Cape Girardeau, Jeannine Spiva of St. Louis and his favorite cousins, Tony (Maggie) Jones of Kennett, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie C. Spiva; sister, Janice Lynn Spiva; maternal & paternal grandparents; uncle, Willie "Brick" Seals; aunt, Clara "Pickle" Jones and a nephew, Jeraun Spiva Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
