Roger Dale Burke, Sr., a resident of Ada, Oklahoma, was born on Sunday, January 15, 1956 and departed this life on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, Missouri at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 18 days. Roger served in the United States Marine Corp from 1973 until 1975 during Vietnam, and was released on Honorable Discharge. On October 26, 1978, Roger was united in marriage to Sheila Icenogle. She preceded him in death in 2019. Roger worked at Prance Oil Co as a Shop Tech for many years before becoming disable, but that never stopped him from having many friends, spending time with his family, and cherishing his grandchildren. Roger loved fishing as a hobby and went every chance he got. Roger loved Nascar and Wrestling and almost never missed a chance to watch them on tv. Roger loved his wife and children above everything, and was very proud of them. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Burke; daughter, Jennifer Burke; brother, Bill Burke; sister, Brenda Crowder; mother, Wanda Burke and father, Leonard Burke. He is survived by his son, Roger Dale Burke, Jr. & his wife, Laura of Ada, OK; daughters, Crystal Hatch & her husband, Scott of Hot Springs, AR, Shannon Burke of Fulton, MO, Tabitha Burke of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; brothers, Benny Burke of Fenton, MO, Danny Burke of St. Louis, MO, Ronnie Burke of Kennett; sister, Sherry Letson of Paragould, AR; grandchildren, Jordann Ebanks & her husband, Ramaine of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Tye Davidson & his wife, Rachel of Searcy, AR, Amber Darnel of Fulton, MO, Kiarra Burke, Dawson Burke, Nicholas Burke, Preston Burke of Ada, OK, Kherington Mezo of Kennett; great-grandchildren, Hazel-Marie Jerrolds, Jamiah Ebanks, Nyanna-Skyy Ebanks, all of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Paislee Davidson and Tye Davidson, Jr. of Searcy, AR and many other family members and friends. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
