On August 13, 2025, Robert "Bob" Stevens passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 31, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, to Everett and Sophia Stevens, Bob lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and devotion to his family. On August 16, 1980, Bob married the love of his life, Betty (Rasberry) Stevens. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love. To those who knew him, Bob was a gentle soul--always quick with a warm smile, a helping hand, and a friendly conversation. He found joy in the simple things and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His unwavering support for his family and his open-hearted nature made him a steady presence in the lives of all who knew him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Sophia; his beloved wife, Betty; his son, Wes; and his grandson, Jude. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Tammy Maddock, Tracy Kain (Steve), Chad Mauk, and Staci Class; grandchildren, Katherine Barry (Jim), Sadie Earney, Matthew Earney, Riley Smith, Paige Burns (Brad) and Anthony Kain; and great-grandchildren, Emelia Seaton, Benjamin Proffer, Samuel Proffer, Brooklynn Burns and Cooper Burns. His legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in their hearts forever.
A funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Bob will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
