View Funeral Webcast Robert Edward Powell, son of the late David and Elsie Reynolds Powell was born on Tuesday, February 19, 1946, in Wilson, Arkansas and departed this life on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at his residence in Kennett at the age of 79 years 3 months 23 days. Robert was a retired employee of Kennett Board of Public Works and a longtime member of the Westside Church of Christ in Kennett. He was united in marriage to LaVene Morrison on August 20, 1977, in Kennett. She preceded him in death on August 1, 2022. Survivors include two brothers, Johnny Powell & his wife, Donna of Oklahoma City, OK, James Powell of Malden; four sisters, Linda Shepard, Betty Halter, Carol Powell, all of Kennett, Marie Davis of Piggott, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister, Barbara Watson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Mr. James Powell officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow in Memeorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
