Samples and Linda Kirkpatrick, was born on Monday, September 9, 1957 in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti at the age of 63 years, 9 months and 22 days. Richard Lynn Samples had worked as a cook for McCormick's Steakhouse in Kennett. Survivors include son, Joseph Samples of Kennett; daughters, Heather Vaughn of Kennett, Carrianna Samples of Malden; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Samples & his wife, Mary of Kennett; sister, Barbara Turner & her husband, Scott of Rector, AR; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dillon J. Samples and Linda Kirkpatrick and a sister, Kathy Samples Simmons. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
