Richard Kenneth Lyell

Richard Kenneth Lyell, son of Frank and Sharon Frost Olkoski, was born on Saturday, January 21, 1967, in Herrin, IL and departed this life on Monday, November 28, 2022, at his residence in Cardwell at the age of 55 years, 10 months and 8 days. Richard Kenneth Lyell was a former police officer with the Cardwell Police Department and Hornersville Police Department. He was a member of the Cardwell Fire Department and a United States Army Veteran. Survivors include his parents, Frank and Sharon Olkoski; two sons, Nicholas Lyell and Zack Lyell, both of Kennett; two daughters, Kendra Emery & her husband, Jeremy of Rector and Natsha Blankenship & her husband, Barry of Malden; eleven grandchildren, Braxton, Brennan, Blakeley & Mirikal Emery, Nevaeh, Addilan & McKinley Magouirk, Brogan Blankenship, Sissa Fredwell, Elizabeth & Acer Lyell, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Lyell, a sister, Tammy Lyell and grandparents, Charles & Joann Frost, Bob & Loren Lyell. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Lonnie Ward officiating. Visitation will begin there at 1:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Gregory Cemetery in Kennett.
