Ray Usrey, son of the late Walter Dempsey Usrey & Ella Cross Usrey, was born Wednesday, April 30, 1947 in Newsurvey, MO and departed this life Monday, February 10, 2020 at Southeast Hospital, Cape Girardeau at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 10 days. He was a Pipefitter. On August 17, 1974 in Kennett, he was united in marriage to Brenda Baker. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Bryan Usrey of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Patti Douglass & husband, Rob of Bartlett, TN; 3 granddaughters, Megan Kohfeldt, Sabrina Usrey, & Ashley Usrey; 4 grandsons, Roman Douglass, Landon Douglass, Nolan Douglass, Michael Kohfeldt; a brother, Bill Usrey of Kennett; a sister, Rita Reed of Lake Wales, FL. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Rosalee Brooks, Betty Bruton, Shelby Usrey; 2 brothers, Jerry Usrey & Larry Usrey. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel, Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
