Philisha Renee Stewart

Philisha Stewart, daughter of Doris Johnson and the late Maurice Braxton, was born on Monday, September 8, 1975, in Kennett and departed this life on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at her residence at the age of 49 years 2 months 4 days. Philisha is survived by her husband, Joseph Stewart of their home in Kennett; sons, Joseph Stewart, Jr. and Jarvis Stewart, both of Kennett; daughter, Talia Romhilt (Eric) & granddaughter, Nevaeh, all of Hayti; mother, Doris Johnson of Kennett; sisters, Tonyoa Kelly (Daniel) of Jefferson City, MO and Tisha Brown of Columbia, MO; brothers, Adrian Welton of Marion, IL and Marcus Braxton of Columbia, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. Philisha was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Braxton and a brother, Byron Welton. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Willoughby Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
