Norman Phillip Ashabranner

Norman Phillip Ashabranner, son of the late Ernest and Ella Ashabranner, was born on Thursday, December 19, 1935, in Burdette, AR and departed this life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at his residence in Gideon, MO, at the age of 88 years 10 months and 5 days. Norman served his country proudly. Serving in our Air Force and National Guard for a combined 24 years. He loved fishing, farming, and gardening. He also had the ability to fix just about anything. He was longtime member of Standfield Baptist Church of Gideon, MO. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine of the home, sons; Jeff Ashabranner, Jimmy (Gaile) Willard, daughters; Darlene (Dennis) Chailland, Terry (Wess) Dunlap, Deanna (Jason) Lamar, daughter-in-law; Gina Reeder, sisters; Alta (Leo) Johnson, Patsy (Avery) Davis, sister-in-law; Bobbie Ashabranner, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a host of other family and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Kevin Ashabranner, brothers; Elliot "Eddie" Ashabranner, Charles Ashabranner, E.B. Ashabranner, and sisters; Opal Mitchell and Ola B. Nobales. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, with Brother Andy Evans officiating. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
