Myrl Frederick

Myrl Eugene Frederick, son of the late Ival R. Frederick and Clara Griffin Frederick was born on Tuesday, May 29, 1934, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Paragould, Arkansas at the age of 91 years 11 months 11 days.

Myrl was an auto mechanic having worked in the Kennett area for many years.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, and a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Kennett.  He devoted many years to teaching and preaching the Gospel especially with the Light Church of Christ near Paragould, Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Masters Frederick of their home in Kennett; two sons, Danny Frederick of Kennett, Missouri and Scott Frederick & his wife, Vicki of New Braunfels, Texas; five grandchildren, Danny Frederick, II, Justin Frederick, Ethan Frederick, Kaitlynn Frederick, & Roelyn Frederick; five great-grandchildren, Milo Money, Miles Money, Miko Money, Kalliopey Money, & Kaiser Money, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerald Frederick.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Mr. James Powell & Mr. Nolen Grover officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until time of service.  Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
