Mitchel Smith

Mitchel Smith, son of the late Lester Smith & Eldora Newman Smith, was born on Sunday, December 11, 1949 in Senath, MO and departed this life on Thursday, December 12, 2019, in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 70 years and 1 day. He was a farmer and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Survivors include a son, Jordan N. Smith & his wife, Amanda of Murray, KY; a daughter, Jessica Wilkins & her husband, Jacob of Leachville, AR; 5 grandchildren, Shadow & Lincoln Smith, Grant, Grace, & Grey Wilkins; brothers, Lester Gene Smith of Senath, Donnie Smith of Rolla; sisters, Betty Quaethem of St. Louis, Judy Osburn of Trumann, AR.  Also surviving are other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry & Carl Edward Smith & a sister, Hattie Sue Jones. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, 2:00 p.m., at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Reverend Doug Clinton will officiate.  Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. A Reception will be held at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, Senath, following the graveside service. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
