Minice Hidle Huffman

Minice Hidle Huffman, son of the late Minice Butler Huffman and Clara Chevallier Huffman, was born on Monday, February 2, 1953, in Jonesville, LA and departed this life on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Hertiage Nursing Center in Kennett at the age of 71 years 1 month 29 days. Hidle was a farmer and country boy at heart. He spent many long days in the fields on foot, tractor and even donkey to harvest the crops. Rarely did he take days off but when he did, he enjoyed swimming in the river by his first farm in Arkadelphia, looking for arrowheads in the fields, hunting and spending time at his parent's house helping tend to the farm animals. He also enjoyed fishing with his son, Luke and in more recent years spending time with his grandson, Jameson. He loved hearing stories about family members, who live locally or spread across the states. Survivors include sons, Lucas Huffman & his wife, Jennifer of Bragg City, Ben Huffman of Little Rock, AR, Matthew Huffman of Missouri; daughter, Valerie Moring & her husband, David of Sheridan, AR; brothers, Fred Wayne Huffman of Florida, Ronnie Huffman of Jonesville, LA; sisters, Mary Greer of Greenbrier, AR, Jean Stevens of Texas; grandchildren, Jameson Huffman, Mackenzie and Macy Moring, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Tammy Smith Huffman, brothers, David Ben Huffman, Mike Huffman and a sister, Judy Walker. Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
