Milo Morris, a resident of Kennett, was born on Monday, February 18, 1952, in Belzona, Mississippi and departed this life on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 13 days. Milo was under the leadership of Pastor R.L. Burton of Zion Rock. Milo enjoyed going to church preaching the word, hanging out talking about the bible, fishing, going to his grandson C.J. basketball games, going to the trailer house, or just hanging out with James and Albert. Milo is survived by his daughters; Monica Morris, Tina Amerson, sons; Isaac Morris, Joey (Amy) Amerson, Gary Amerson, Waco Amerson, Shannon Amerson, a special daughter; Jacqueline Kirby, 3 brothers; James (Ernestine) Morris of Steele, Tommy Lee Morris and Jerry (Helena) Morris of Kennett, 4 sisters; Gloria (Vernis) Farmer, Loretta Clay, Mooney Clay, Peggy Clay, close friends Overdean Williams and Jessica Jones, 3 sister-in-law’s; Barbara Moore, Debra Moore, Ann (Nugeme) Stanley, 3 brother-in-law’s; Eddie (Pat) Moore, Den (Ruth) Moore, Dennis Moore of Nashville, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Milo is preceded in death by his wife Ruby Morris, his wife Eva Amerson, his parents John Henery Morris, Junetta Love, brothers; John Henery Morris, Charles Morris, Frank Morris, Corey Clay, and sisters; Floriola Kinnon, Junett Morris. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Temple Church in Kennett with Bishop Luke Robinson officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until time of service. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
