Micky Lee Ward, Jr. was born July 8, 1984, to Micky Ward and Daphne (Busby) Ward, in Paragould, Arkansas. He departed this life on June 9, 2025, at the age of 40 years, in Warrensburg, Missouri. Survivors include: His Parents: Micky & Peggy Ward and Daphne & Larry Pirtle His children: Zeblyn Crum and Layla Houseman and 2 granddaughters: Novalee and Dakota Crum A brother: Bryan Ward and 2 sisters: April Ward and Jennifer Cater and an Honorary Sister: Rebecca Towns Grandfather: Jack Rhodes Grandmothers: Helen Champion and Peggy Sessums Uncles: Jackie and Tommy Rhodes; Melvin, Eddy, and Danny Ward; Tad Sessums and James Greer Aunt: Stacy Rhodes and several nieces, nephews and cousins Micky was preceded in death by his grandmother: Faye Rhodes and Grandfathers: Edward Ward and Orville Sessums. Micky had an incredibly generous heart and was always willing to help others, even when he was facing challenges of his own. He wouldn’t hesitate to give someone his last dollar if he knew they needed it. His love for his family ran deep—especially for his children, whom he cherished dearly. Though Micky faced his share of struggles, his faith never wavered. He held a strong love for the Lord and even dreamed of becoming a pastor one day. Visitation will be on Friday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett., MO. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Matthew Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery in Senath. Powell Funeral and Cremation Services, Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
