Michael Eugene Trainer

Michael Eugene Trainer, son of the late Virgil Eugene and Catherine Moore Trainer, was born on Sunday, August 25, 1957 in Paw Paw, Michigan and departed this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 7 days. Michael, a life-long resident of Kennett, was a big St. Louis Cardinals fan, who enjoyed baseball games and fishing. Survivors include sons, Michael Trainer, Jr. & Glen Trainer, both of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Abbey, Colton, Payton and Trey Trainer; brothers, Lee Trainer, Rick Trainer, Mark Trainer, Dewayne Trainer, Tim Trainer, all of Kennett; sisters, Kathy Cannon and Sharon Singleton, both of Kennett, Elizabeth Kirby of Steele; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Michael spent the last few years being care for by his brother and friend, Tim Trainer. He will be missed by all of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Catherine Trainer and brothers, Stevie, David and Gary Trainer. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel, Kennett. Visitation will begin there at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Gregory Cemetery in Kennett. Pallbearers will be Rick Trainer, Tim Trainer, Ed Cannon, Jeffery Singleton, David Shepard, Steven Moody, David Cook, and Bill Heinen Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
