View Funeral Webcast Michael Paul Duke, son of Margie Counts Duke and the late Edward "Ed" Duke, was born on Friday, August 8, 1975, in Kennett and departed this life on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his residence in Marmaduke at the age of 46 years, 8 months and 11 days. Michael was a truck driver for E & D Farm Trucking in Marmaduke. On October 23, 1994, in Kennett, he was united in marriage to Shawna Peek. Survivors include his wife, Shawna Duke of the home in Marmaduke; sons, Patrick & Joshua Duke, both of Marmaduke; mother, Margie Counts Duke of Marmaduke; brothers, Donald Duke & his wife, Teresa of Marmaduke, Arnold Duke & his wife, Rose of Springfield, Keith Duke & his wife, Laura of Paragould; sisters, Kathy Duke Music & her husband, Glennon of Marmaduke, Kim Duke Tripp & her husband, Billy of Kennett; uncle, Benny Counts of Kennett; aunt, Faye Ray of Kennett; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Duke; maternal grandparents, Haskell & Alpha Counts; fraternal grandparents, Connie & Leora Duke; sister, Tammy Goodwin; uncles, J. C., Gale, Basil "Bull" & Gerald Counts; aunt, Carolyn Ellison and mother-in-law, Annie Lance. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin there at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery in Marmaduke. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald, Arnold, Keith, Jason, Justin & Jonathan Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be Glennon Music, Billy Tripp & Ryan Branum. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
