View Funeral Webcast Mary Ruth Smith Johnson, daughter of the late Arch Davis and Fannie Thompson Davis, was born on Monday, May 17, 1926 in Selmer, TN and departed this life on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, Arkansas at the age of 95 years, 3 months and 22 days. Mary Ruth Smith Johnson was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was a caregiver to many individuals. Survivors include son, Tommie Smith & his wife, Betty of Bragg City, MO; daughter, Rose Dawson of Kennett; 8 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bob Smith; her second husband, Bill Johnson; a son, Jimmie Smith, Sr., a granddaughter, Shana Denniston, a great-granddaughter, AnnaGrace Burgin and 7 siblings. Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Family ask all attending the memorial service please wear a mask. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
