Mary Martha Carr, daughter of the late Jimmy and Lucille Polk, was born on Friday, August 4, 1944, in Hayti, MO and departed this life on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at NHC of Kennett at the age of 80 years 9 days. Mary Martha Carr was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was united in marriage to William Andrew Carr, Sr. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1982. Survivors include four sons, Jerry Carr of Tennessee, Charles Carr of Steele, MO, Kenny Carr of St. Louis, MO, Timothy Carr of Bragg City; three daughters, Mary Collins of Kennett, Susan Gribble of Kennett, Betty Sue Carr of Jefferson City, MO, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons, Jimmy, Terry, and William Carr, Jr., a daughter, Martha Carr and three brothers, Jimmy, Elmar and Lloyd Polk. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
