Marilyn Lee Caldwell, daughter of the late Harold Beal and Alice Christine Berry Beal, was born on Friday, July 23, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan and departed this life on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Flo & Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 7 days. Marilyn Lee Caldwell was a piano teacher, a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs since 1961 and Life Member since 1985, a member of the Missouri Federation of Music Clubs serving in various offices such as State President (1983-1985), Chaplain (1997-1999), Historian, First Vice-President (1991-1993), Editor of Missouri Music Notes (1979-1981 and 1983-1985), Education Chairman, District President (1977-1979), a member of the Wednesday Music Club serving as President (1971-1973) and Chairman of the Scholarship Endowment Fund, a member of the Azalea Garden Club and a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett. On August 23, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan she was united in marriage to Finis Jay Caldwell, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Finis Jay Caldwell, Jr. of Kennett; five sons, Tim Caldwell of Clarksville, TN, Garrett Caldwell of Senath, Craig Caldwell of Florissant, MO, Jeremy Caldwell of Blytheville, AR, Kerry Caldwell & his wife, Jennifer of Goodlettsville, TN; daughter, Christine Harris & her husband, David of Piggott, AR; five grandchildren, Jade Caldwell of St. Louis, MO, Travis Caldwell of Jonesboro, AR, Brandy Lancaster & her husband, Tanner of Monette, AR, Jordynn Suitter & her husband, Josh of Poplar Bluff, MO, Collyns Caldwell of Goodlettsville, TN; four great-grandchildren, Bradley Caldwell, Brantley Lancaster, Colt Suitter, Dakota Lancaster, other relatives and many friends. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Memorial contributions may be made to the Slicer Street Church of Christ, the Wednesday Music Club, or St. Louis Childrens Hospital.
