Marcus Scherer

Marcus Scherer, son of William Scherer and Paula Seabaugh Scherer, was born on Wednesday, September 22, 1982, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at his residence in Kennett at the age of 42 years 2 months 15 days. Marcus had been employed with ARI in Marmaduke, AR as a welder. He served in the United States Navy. He was a loving son, father, brother, and friend. In addition to his family, he had a love for music, fishing, cooking and his dogs. On March 1, 2024, in Frisbee, Missouri he was united in marriage to Aline Blagg. She survives of their home in Kennett. Other survivors include his parents, William & Paula Seabaugh Scherer of Kennett; brother, Dylan Scherer of Belton, MO; daughter, McKenzie Scherer of Kennett; step-sons, Mickey Owens of Cottonwood Point, MO, Eric Dusang of Van Buren, AR; step-daughter, Hollie Owens of Cottonwood Point, MO, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Mr. James Powell officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kennett Humane Society, 200 Cedar Street, Kennett, MO 63857 or to FCC Behavioral Health, 925 State Highway VV, Kennett, MO 63857 Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
