Louella Jacques Akers, daughter of the late Clyde and Zelma Hawkins Jacques, was born on Wednesday, July 9, 1941, in Clarkton and departed this life on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her residence in Malden at the age of 82 years 2 months and 3 days. Louella was a graduate of Campbell High School and a member of the Church of Christ. She had worked as a hotel hospitality manager. Survivors include a son, David Akers of Nashville, TN; daughters, Melissa Crabtree of Nashville, TN and Melinda Akers of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren, Mallory, Matthew, Brittany, and Sydney; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Myra and Maddox; brothers, Jerry Jacques & wife, Shirley of West Plains, MO, Clyde Jacques & wife, Judy of Dexter, Tommy Jacques of Malden; sisters, Peggy Hill of Swartz Creek, MI, Jonell Everett of Campbell, Linda Swafford & husband, Joe of Campbell, other relatives and many friends. Louella was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jackie Jacques, a sister, Carmalita Lance and a nephew, Michael Jacques. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Malden Church of Christ with Mr. James Powell and Mr. Kevin Lawrence officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Homes, Inc., 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
