Lester Ray Selvidge, son of Callie Ann Carson and Lester Smith, was born on Tuesday, May 7, 1957, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on Monday, August 4, 2025, at NHC of Kennett at the age of 68 years 2 months 28 days. Les was a brick mason his entire life, finishing hundreds of beautiful homes across 25 states. He was very social and enjoyed being a part of community clubs likes the Jaycees and the Eagles throughout his life. He played intramural softball and basketball as a young adult, participated in bowling and pool leagues, and enjoyed golf later in life. You could always find the Cardinals game or NASCAR on the radio in his truck, but above all, his favorite thing in the world was being a dad. His survivors include three daughters, Lesley Selvidge, Jessica (Selvidge) Swanson, and Callie Selvidge; a brother, Mike Selvidge; a sister, Donna (Smith) Eller; six grandsons, Logan Kerr, Maxwell Beeton, Wyatt Jones, Tanner Swanson, Westin Jones, Christian Anderson, and one granddaughter, Lakelyn Swanson, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Pallbearers will be Mike Selvidge, Logan Kerr, Maxwell Beeton, Josh Swanson, Richie Babcock and Michael Garrett.
