Leslie Hitt

Leslie Anne Hitt, 42, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday October 6, 2023, at 11:50 a.m. Leslie was born in Paragould, Arkansas on December 6, 1980 She graduated from Marmaduke High School and attended Arkansas State College majoring in nursing and accounting. Her hobbies include FFA showing livestock, traveling with family, gardening with her mother-in-law, and learning about flowers and plants, swimming, camping with her son and very special nieces and nephews, watching the birds and squirrels, and had a love for and always looked forward to the Eminence trail ride. Leslie was a member of Third St Baptist Church. She looked forward in helping in the children's nursery and working in V.B.S. On June 20, 2003, she married the love of her life Larry Lee Hitt, he survives of the home. One of Leslie's greatest love and achievement was her son "Will Hitt". She supported him in all his church, school activities, and just daily life. She loved Will until her last breath. Other survivors include a son; Willian (Will) Lee Thomas of the home, mother-in-law; Brenda Joy Muller-Hitt of the home, whom Leslie referred to as mom, brother-in-law; Shane O'Kelley Hitt of Campbell, MO., sister-in-law; Shawna Melissa "Missy" Hitt Brower (Brad) of Kentucky, very special nephew; Dillon Cole Odom and children Easton Cole Odom and Braxton Marie Odom of Kennett, MO., very special niece; Alexis Danielle Hitt Odom (Ben) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, many other relatives, family and friends. Preceding her in death is her father-in-law William (Bill) Neal Hitt, whom Leslie referred to as dad. Leslie Hitt's celebration of life will be held by Third St Baptist Church, Wednesday October 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. officiated by pastor Johnny Bogle. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
