Larry Wayne Lucy, Sr.

Larry Wayne Lucy, Sr., son of the late Marvin Lucy and Linda Ludwick Lucy, was born on Thursday, April 8, 1965, in Hayti and departed this life on Friday, March 31, 2023, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 23 days. Larry Wayne Lucy, Sr. was a truck driver. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother. Survivors include his mother, Linda Lucy of Caruthersville; son, Larry Wayne Lucy, Jr. & his wife, Katy Taylor of Lakeland, TN; daughter, Erika Lucy & her wife, Hailey of Caruthersville, Nichole Lucy & Michael Smith of Caruthersville; step-sons, Jonathan Groeneveld & his wife, Donna of Wardell, Nicholas Haynes of Caruthersville; 19 grandchildren; brother, John Lucy & his wife, Joann of Caruthersville, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Lucy; step-son, Christopher Shelton; brother, James Lucy; grandparents, Carl & Mary Ludwick, Johnny & Mary Lucy and an uncle, Larry Franklin "Jiggs" Lucy. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
