View Funeral Webcast Joy Dawn Brown, daughter of the late Herman and Vera Culbertson Sherrill, was born on Sunday, July 22, 1934, in Kennett and departed this life on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 12 days. She was a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett. Survivors include daughter, Susan Bridges & her husband, Jeff of Kennett; grandchildren, Alicia Bryant & her husband, Kenneth of Hernando, MS, Brian Bridges & his wife, Sarah of Memphis, TN; great-grandchildren, Brooks, Baylor, Beckett, & Blakely Bryant, all of Hernando, MS; sister, Judy Frakes of Kennett; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, David Wayne Brown, a daughter before her birth, Roxanne and her brother, Sonny Sherrill. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Mr. Jay Lyles officiating. Visitation will begin there at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
