Johnnie M. Beard, son of the late Calvin Beard and Ruth Roberts Beard, was born on Friday, February 17, 1939, in Rives, MO and departed this life on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at his residence in Hornersville at the age of 85 years 4 months 20 days. Johnnie had worked in St. Louis as a carpenter supervisor and attended Trinity Community Church in Cardwell. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joann Nunnery Beard of their home in Hornersville; son, Tony Bears & his wife, Martha of St. Clair, MO; two daughters, Tammy Reel & her husband, Greg of Hornersville, Tina Thorpe & her husband, Jeff of Rio Rico, AZ; sister, Mary Ridings of Steele; 5 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Community Church in Cardwell. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
