View Funeral Webcast John Martin Rogers, son of Nancy Worthy Rogers and the late William Wells Rogers, Sr., was born on Tuesday, March 13, 1962, in Kennett and departed this life on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti at the age of 59 years, 10 months and 18 days. John Martin Rogers was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett. He had worked as a draftsman in Jonesboro and had been employed as a maintenance supervisor for the Ely-Walker Apartments in Kennett. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, going to auctions and collecting auctions items. He had the ability to fix and repair most anything. Survivors include his mother, Nancy Rogers of Kennett; sons, Chad Rogers of Jonesboro, AR, Johnathan Rogers of St. Louis, MO; brother, William (Bill) Wells Rogers, Jr. & his wife, Kim of Batesville, MS; nephews, Justin Wells Rogers & Jacob Andrew Rogers, both of Las Vegas, NV; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his aunt, Jane Rogers. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Steven Scherer officiating. Visitation will begin there at 1:00 p.m. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
