James Henry "Jimmy" Vannasdall, son of Jesse James Vannasdall and Allen Maxine Mikel Vannasdall, was born on Thursday, April 25, 1946 in Gideon and departed this life on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 29 days. James Henry Vannasdall had been a farmer. On May 15, 1964, he was united in marriage to Della Faye Akridge. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2008. Survivors include daughters, Tina Marie Dixon & her husband, Timothy Gene Dixon of Kennett, Maxine Ann Crawford of Clarkton; granddaughters, Jessica Marie Carter of Kennett, Latisha Ruby of Marston; grandsons, Joshua Paul Beck of Cape Girardeau, Cody James Cline of Gideon; great-grandchildren, Keaton Andrew Carter, Kyla Anna Marie Carter, Jazlyn Meredia Goins; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and an infant son, James Henry Vannasdall, Jr. No service is planned. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
