Jewell Louise Bowling

Jewell Louise Bowling, daughter of the late Arthur Lebo and Bernice Sargent Lebo was born on Thursday, July 25, 1935, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at NHC of Kennett at the age of 90 years 11 months 8 days.

Jewell and her husband, the late J. B. Bowling lived for many years in Rockford, Illinois where they raised their family.  She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, adopted grandmother and friend.  She was known for her many talents especially sewing and crocheting.

Her survivors include three sons, Larry Bowling & wife, Kelly of Piggott, Arkansas, Jackey Bowling of Kennett, Missouri, Joel Bowling & Cynthia Bodda of Rockford, Illinois; two brothers, Arthur Lebo, Jr. of Colorado, Douglas Lynn Lebo of Kennett, Missouri; five sisters, Erma Jean Venable of Sarasota, Florida, Sybil Besand of Clinton, Illinois, Joyce Cobb, Pat Rogers, all of Kennett, Missouri; six adopted grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Dennis Glen Lebo and two sisters, Iva Burlene Hillenburg and Louise Aileen Lebo, who died in infancy.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Brother Doug Clinton officiating.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service.  Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
