Jeff Wade, Jr., son of the late H. J. Wade and Ollie Lee Lucius Wade, was born on Thursday, August 8, 1929 in Durma, MS and departed this life on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at his residence in Kennett at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 6 days. He was a life-long resident of Southeast Missouri where he engaged in farming. A graduate of Delta C-7 High School, Class of 1948, he was a former member of the Delta C-7 Board of Education. As an active member of the Bakerville Church of Christ in Bragg City, he served in various capacities including church treasurer, Bible class teacher, deacon, & elder. On June 14, 1948, he was united in marriage to Ophelia Richardson. She preceded him in death on July 2, 2001. On July 11, 2003, he married Ella Alexander. She survives of the home in Kennett. Other survivors include a son, Michael Wade of Kennett; granddaughter, Lydia Wade Harrison & her husband, Ben of Steele, MO; grandson, Elliot Wade of Kennett; great-grandsons, Miller & Milo Harrison of Steele; step-daughters, Rita Pickard & her husband, Dennis of Kennett, Melanie Folkes & her husband, Donnie of Kennett; step-grandchildren, Alex Privett & his wife, Tesslah of Kennett, Brittany Barton & her husband, Derrick of Kennett, Danny Nixon & his wife, Kassie of Branson; step-great-grandchildren, Jordan Pounders & her husband, Logan of Searcy, AR, Ryan Nixon of California, Steven Doherty of Kennett; step-great-great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Gus, John Wyatt Pounders, & Gracie Nixon; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Wade and sisters, Johnnie Spencer, Geneva Parrish & Frances Wells and a step-granddaughter, Brandi Nixon. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Mr. James Powell and Mr. Michael Horton officiating. Visitation will begin there at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delta Children's Home, P. O.
