Janet "Janie" Linn Goodwin

Janet "Janie" Linn Goodwin, daughter of the late Jim and Anna Bruce, was born on Wednesday, September 9, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee and departed this life on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 66 years, 2 days.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Janie had a love for camping, canning, and her morning coffee with the girls.

On August 11, 1977, in Kennett, she was united in marriage to Terry Goodwin. He survives of their home in Kennett.

Other survivors include a daughter, Nichole (David) Goodwin-Bradshaw, sisters, Connie Bolin, Katie Drey, Julia Paker, Florence Mullins, Shirley Johnson, Kathryn Ewing, brother, William Deal, sister-in-law, Kathie Bruce, grandchildren, Corbin (Dallas) Tice, Greenly Bradshaw, Annie Bradshaw, great-grand son, Bailey Tice, best friends & coffee buddies, Debbie Cleveland, Janet McElwrath, Ann Rollins, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Anna Bruce, her biological parents, Bobbie Hopper, Virginia Graham, brother, Jim R. Bruce, and birth sibling, Karon, Jerry, David, and Jimmy.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service.  Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
