James Daniel Odom, Jr., son of the late Jimmy Odom and Louise Payne Odom, was born on Wednesday, July 21, 1954 in Alabama and departed this life on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 1 day. He had worked at the Kennett Oil Mill. Survivors include wife, Joan Crawford Odom of the home in Kennett; sons, William Emery of Waldenburg, AR, James Odom, Jr. of Kennett, Jerry Odom of Clarkton; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Butch Kozma of Festus, MO; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
