James "Big Jim" Jones

James "Big Jim" Jones, son of the late Floyd Cooper Jones, Sr. and Azalee Biggs Jones, was born on Saturday, January 18, 1941, near Steele and departed this life on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Aspire Health and Rehab in Advance, MO at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 21 days. Survivors include a son, Brent Jones & his wife, Tina of Bloomfield; a daughter, Regina Corbin of Kennett; many grandchildren; brothers, Larry Jones of Steele, Champ Jones of Hornersville, Phillip Jones; sisters, Charlotte Bounds of Poplar Bluff, Violet Christian of Pocahontas, AR; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bradley Jones; brother, Floyd Cooper Jones, Jr. and a sister, Alice Harrison. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
