James Charles Allen

James Charles Allen, son of Patsy Mosley James and the late Charles Allen, was born on Thursday, September 27, 1962, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 63 years 2 months 26 days.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Gattis Allen of their home in Hornersville; three sons, David Allen & his wife, Tabitha of Decatur, IL, Brian Roy & his wife, Heather of Hornersville, MO, Kameron Roy & his wife, Bertha of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Stella Carter & her husband, Brandon of Kennett, MO; ten grandchildren, Hanna, Kadence, Luke, Kelsey, Braden, MaKinley, Madden, Zayden, Zoey, Emery; mother, Patsy Mosley James; two brothers, Steve Pritchett of Kennett, MO, Randy James of Hot Springs, AR; five sisters, Tambra Speer of Pollard, AR, Charlene Smith of Fredericktown, MO, Emily Lashley of Bernie, MO, Heidi Kennedy of Farmington, MO, Cathie Allen of Mississippi, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Allen, his brother, Teddy Pritchett, and his grandmother, Stella Mosley. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett.  Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service.
