Jack Alen Powell, son of the late Jack Oscar Powell and Helen Bolton Powell, was born on Saturday, July 6, 1940 in Chicago, IL and departed this life on Sunday, April 12, 2020 in Poplar Bluff at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 6 days. He was a retired U. S. Army veteran, a retired Police Officer of the Kennett Police Department and had served as Chief of Police of the Arbyrd Police Department and the Assistant Police Chief of the Cardwell Police Department. His survivors include a son, Alen Powell & his wife, Cathy of Caruthersville; daughter, Beth Evans & her husband, James of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Tanja Eisen & her husband Sebastian of Germany and Patrick Evans of Nashville, TN; sisters, Janice Powell of California, Carla Crews of West Plains, MO; brother, Ronald Powell of Kennett; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jack. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
