Ima Jean Lakey, daughter of Ruth Bernice and Sampson Luther Lakey, was born on Thursday, July 10, 1958, in Hayti, Missouri, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at her residence in Caruthersville, Missouri at the age of 66 years 1 month 11 days. Ima loved to be around family and fishing. Ima leaves to cherish her memory, mother; Ruth, two sons; Marcus (Shiwanda) Hubbard of Indianapolis, IN, Mark (Karyss) Hubbard of Kansas City, MO, eight grandchildren; Tendalaya Cater, Kateria Brown, Marquis Hubbard, Pharah Wright, Thomas Strickland, Krysten Strickland, Eyven Hubbard, Nevaeh Hubbard, three sisters; Dolly Boswell of California, Sherly Mills of Caruthersville, MO, Mary (Bobby) Jenkins of Arizona, four brothers; William (Kathy) Lakey of Caruthersville, MO. Jim Lakey of Florida, Alfred Lakey of Florida, Jr Lakey of Michigan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 12:00 pm.
