View Funeral Webcast Gregory Nelson Gilmer, son of Kay Francis Cooper and the late Joel Cooper, was born on Wednesday, February 2, 1955, in Kennett and departed this life on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 10 days. Survivors include his mother, Kay Francis Cooper of Kennett; two sons, Gregory Nelson Gilmer, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Joel Gilmer & Anita Mathis of Malden; three daughters, Lashanda Sears of Indianapolis, IN, Malisha Gilmer of Atlanta, GA, Jennifer Gilmer of Jefferson City, MO; four brothers, Weber Gilmer of Charleston, Gerald Gilmer of Kennett, Ron Gilmer & his wife, Sandra of Maryland, George Cooper of Memphis; three sisters, Sheila Cooper of Kennett, Rev. Dr. Karla Cooper of Lincoln, NE, Angela Kay Fobbs of Kennett, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, George Cooper, II. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Dr. Karla Cooper officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
